Today I am introducing PantheonSkulptur. Stina lives in Sweden and makes resin statues of the Norse Gods and goddesses, which she then gilds with brass leaf.
The Freya, Frigga, Thor, Skadi and Jord/Gerd statues have already sold, but maybe if you messaged Stina she would be able to make another.
Edit: Hella statue is now mine. Channelling Gollum: come to me my preciousss.
Mother’s Day is a time to honour the role of the mother in society, but there are many facets to a mother. The mythologies of the Norse and Egyptian peoples abound in examples of motherly, nurturing, protective, fierce and magical women. If only society today could recognise that ‘mother’ can mean so many things. The following are some of my suggestions for honouring the divine feminine in your life on Mother’s Day, including a couple of less conventional ones.
Iceland is to have a temple dedicated to Thor, Odin and Frigga built overlooking Reykjavik.
“The temple will hold weddings and funerals and observe Blót, a traditional ritual involving drinking to the gods using a drinking horn before holding a feast.”
